ISTerre

The Institute of Earth Sciences (ISTerre) is a joint research unit of the CNRS, Grenoble-Alpes University, the University of Savoie Mont Blanc, the IRD, and Gustave Eiffel University. ISTerre is a leading laboratory for Grenoble’s Universe Sciences Observatory (OSUG) whose research focuses primarily on the physical and chemical study of the planet Earth. By combining observations of natural objects, experimentation, and the modeling of complex phenomena, ISTerre strives toward a deeper understanding of Earth’s major internal systems.

Insitut of geological sciences

The Institute of Geological Sciences (University of Bern Switzerland) is recognized internationally for its fundamental research into the origin and evolution of the earth and for its applied research into natural hazards, mineral resources, geoenergies and geological disposal of waste. To understand the underlying natural phenomena we perform field work throughout the world, we analyse samples in our state-of-the-art laboratories, we perform experiments to reproduce natural phenomena and we link these findings through computer modelling.

EDYTEM

Créé en 2003, Edytem est une unité mixte de recherche de l’Université Savoie Mont Blanc et du CNRS. Il est né de la volonté de rassembler des chercheurs en géosciences (géologie, hydrogéologie, géomorphologie) et en sciences humaines et sociales (géographie) dans le but de résoudre, par une vision interdisciplinaire, les problématiques environnementales et sociétales propres aux Environnements, Dynamiques et Territoires de Montagne (EDyTEM). Depuis 2020, une équipe de chimiste de l’université Savoie Mont Blanc a rejoint le laboratoire pour compléter les travaux en intégrant plus fortement la chimie environnementale ainsi que la chimie verte et de synthèse.

AOROCH ENS

Unité Mixte de Recherche n° 8546, AOROC (Archéologie et Philologie d’Orient et d’Occident), est le fruit d’un partenariat fructueux entre le CNRS, l’ENS et l’EPHE, devenues deux composantes de l’Université Paris Sciences Lettres (PSL) le 8 novembre 2019.Elle est le résultat de la fusion de six équipes d’archéologie du CNRS, d’une équipe de philologie de l’ENS, d’une équipe d’égyptologie, et d’une équipe d’humanités numériques de l’EPHE. AOROC est le seul laboratoire CNRS d’archéologie, d’histoire et de philologie dont l’ensemble des tutelles sont membres de l’Université PSL.

IPGP

The Institut de physique du globe de Paris is a major institution for higher education and research, piloted by an executive board, a scientific council and a pedagogical council. Component institute of the new Université de Paris, it is also a member of the Alliance Sorbonne-Paris-Cité (ASPC) with the Sorbonne Paris Nord and Sorbonne Nouvelle universities, as well as the EHESP, Sciences Po, the Inalco and the FMSH. It is the guardian of the UMR 7154, which brings together all research activities, with the CNRS, the Université de Paris, the Université de la Réunion and the IGN as co-guardians. The IPGP is also the guardian of UMS 3454, which brings together all observation activities, with the CNRS as a co-guardian. In addition, the IPGP is a CNES space laboratory
