Lake studies
Renaldo Gastineau
PhD at ISTerre in the Seismic cycle and transient deformation team and supervised by Dr Prof. Julia de Sigoyer and Dr Pierre Sabatier
He is working since 2018 on WP2 of the ANR project. His work aims to better constrain the seismic cycle of the middle strand of the North Anatolian Fault (MNAF) based on geophysical data and sediment cores. With a background in geology applied to archaeology (Sanctuary of Delphi) and in planetary geomorphology (Mars) using remote sensing methods, he finds the ANR project to be the perfect mix of fieldwork and multidisciplinary science.

Pierre Sabatier
Lecturer at EDYTEm lab (CNRS/USMB)
Specialist of lake sedimentology, geochemistry and geochronology to reconstruct past geodynamic, climatic and human activity. In this project Pierre will coordinate all scientific aspect in lake sedimentology from coring missions to earthquake chronicles and palaeoenvironmental reconstitutions. Responsible for WP2 and codirector of Renaldo Gastineau’s Ph-D.
